The emergency teams and PLOVDIV PLAZA’s technical team are doing their utmost to drain and clean the mall after the repeated storm that hit Sunday. For this reason, the mall will remain closed on June 2nd.
Within a few hours the previous day, in Plovdiv fell over 69 l / m 2 and the sewerage of the city was insufficient to absorb that amount of water. Force majeure of such a size can not be overcome.
PLOVDIV PLAZA has a state-of-the-art drainage system that does not stop working. The high levels of water entering and out through the sewer have forced store staff and visitors to be brought out of the building.
All measures for the health and safety of the people in the mall were taken. Because of the heavy rainfall and the out-of-the-way traffic, an opportunity was given to anyone who wanted to stay in the mall in the park as much as needed.
The shopping center will open doors for visitors as soon as it is cleaned from the mud and leaves.
We thank the technical teams that work around the clock to inspect all systems and equipment and put them back into operation.
It is possible that after the opening of the mall, some of the stores will remain closed until the damage is fully recovered.
EDIT: The mall is working with normal working time on June 3rd.
